Intern

We are currently accepting internship applications. If you see a program listed on our website, there is the possibility that an internship is available. Complete our application and tell us about your interests. 

We are offering internship opportunities for current 1st and 2nd-year Master’s level students enrolled in social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling programs. These internships provide hands-on experience in both office and community-based settings, serving individuals of all ages. Interns will have the opportunity to focus on a variety of areas, including child and family treatment, family preservation, adolescent and young adult programming, community mental health, substance use, and child welfare.

The Development Intern at Family Service of Rhode Island will support fundraising, donor engagement, and special events to advance the organization’s mission. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit development, including donor research, grant writing, event planning, and communications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about social impact, and eager to learn about philanthropy and community engagement.
